Jake finally Graduated! We had such a great time and everything was so nice....and not too long. The kids were good, the weather cooperated, and now he's GRADUATED!

Here is an excerpt of the speech that particularly touched my heart:

"We are thinking in particular right now of a classmate who would bring his two children to school and hand them over to his wife just as she walked out of the hospital having worked a twelve-hour night shift, and she would, instead of sleeping, go home and be a very tired Mom.
Cami, you are a saint of the highest caliber. And Jake’s accomplishments are every bit as much your possession because it is your sacrifice and generosity that has made this real. And that narrative of selfless giving runs through all the families here who leaned in and lightened our burden of duty, so that we could attend to our studies. "

Of course, I was heavily crying by the end of this. It illustrates so well our last 3 years.(Except the last year with my mom being here). We worked so hard, which is what makes the payoff (when he DOES get a job) so sweet.
